Hello, My friend and I just got back from five days up at Elliot Lake. What a crying shame! The MNR has allowed the entire Crown land shoreline of Dunlop, Quirk, and Popeye Lakes to be sold for cottage lots. The entire length of Dunlop is now developed, with 200+ lots surveyed out on the shore. Hydro transformers and newly constructed cottages are all you get to look at as you make the 3 hour paddle down the lake. We used to camp on a beautiful rock ledge campsite, on the southern shore, directly across from the portage into Ten Mile Lake. Now it's posted "No Trespassing", and it's been sold as a cottage site. A new access road now runs the entire length of the southern shore, to within 1 km of the portage into Claim Lake. No need to paddle the lake anymore, as you can park your vehicle across from the portage into Ten Mile. Thanks! For More You Can Check: Animated Explainer Videos
